Aguila ammo is manufactured by TECNOS Ammunition. Primed with Eley primers and designed for maximum accuracy, these sniper rounds will bring out the best of your 22 caliber firearm. I was very very happy with this result given the horror stories I've heard about this round beyond 20 yards. 22 caliber 60 grains Specifications Hunting - Species: Varmint Number of rounds: 50 Grain weight: 60 Caliber. The 60 gr lead round nose projectile is the heaviest of all 22 caliber bullets and flies at subsonic speeds. If accuracy holds up, this would be one devastating round on game. I need to get one of those bullet reforming tools and make some flat heads. Easily squirrel accurate and definitely minute of woodchuck head. In short, the 60 grain did was acceptable in this gun for the purpose I'd use it for - putting the smack on game. Shoots about 1' groups at 50 yds, which is not bad, but most loads will do half that or better. Maybe the ammo is just not up to par with my other loads. Barrel shoots fantastic with most all match and sub loads, except the Aguila's. 40 yards and up, the first shot of the group was a good 5+ inches below the rest of the group. 22LR to shoot 60gr subsonics I have a Volquartsen 1:9 twist made to shoot the 60 grain Aguila's. 75" group with 1 flier that opened it up to 2" At least 1 tumbled but again, tight grouping of shots made it hard to be sure if any more tumbled.īy way of contrast CCI Quiet did nowhere near as well - 25yrs were a clover leaf, but every thing up from there was much larger. The other 2 shots did not tumble.ĥ0 yards. 80 degrees, sunny and 0-5mph wind.Ĥ5 yards 1" not sure about tumbling because 3 shots were a ragged hole. I just tested some today in my Savage Mark II FV.
